Silver City Main Street
31st Street to Miller Park Way. Known as the International district because of its diverse array of business
owners. Silver City draws its name from the era of our history when workers from the industrial Menomonee
Valley would spend their silver dollars at National Avenue businesses after a hard week’s work. The Silver
City district was chosen as one of the four Milwaukee Main Street Districts in February 2005.
